Our Philosophy

No two funerals are the same. Each family we serve has unique and important needs that we strive to satisfy. By working closely with your family we can arrange a funeral ceremony that will express the special, one-of-a-kind relationship that you shared with your loved one and help enrich the memories that you will cherish forever.

We believe that you will only find this type of dedication from a local, family-owned funeral home. We’re pleased and proud to continue our tradition of compassionate service, from our family, to yours.

We hope that our site will be able to answer any questions you might have and we thank you for your interest in our funeral home.

We do our best to deliver service beyond expectation. Whether you come to us when your loved one has died, or when you want to make your arrangements in advance, we provide you with services tailored to your needs and desires. Our staff members are your caring friends and neighbors, who are active in your community, and ready to serve you and your family.

Maintaining a tradition of quality service is our top priority. It is our privilege to uphold that tradition while helping you in your time of need.

Count on our family to compassionately serve yours.

  • Bereavement Peer Support Group
    Wednesday, June 12, 2013

The Westman Hospice Association is pleased to offer a safe environment for adults who have recently lost loved ones. Though each person's journey through loss and grief is as individual as they are, it can help to know that others are on their own journeys. A facilitated peer group can offer comfort, support and a safe place just to "be". Facilitator and grief cousellor, Jocelyn Kehler will be holding the Peer Support Group Meetings at Seniors for Seniors, 311 Park Avenue East in the Meeting Room on: Wednesday, June 12th at 7:00 p.m. For more information, please call Elaine at the Westman Hospice Association (204)727-1745 or visit: westmanhospice@mts.net Read more

  • Gossip in the Graveyard
    Saturday, June 22, 2013

For the past three years, we’ve been involved in staging a history tour of the Brandon cemetery. Many people don’t fully realize the number of famous (and infamous) people buried there; it is our intention to educate participants through entertainment to raise money for a local charity. Local actors of 7 Ages Productions play the parts of these remarkable ‘residents’ of the cemetery, and share personal biographical details with walkers. This "lively" two hour interactive walking tour provides an opportunity for visitors to take a step back in time and to "meet" the colourful and inspiring individuals who have helped in shaping the Brandon we know today. The characters of Brandon's past literally come alive to tell their tales and offer some juicy bits of gossip to those plucky participants who venture through their hallowed resting grounds. The event commonly raises $2,000 or more, to be donated to a local charity. This year all proceeds were donated to Westman Hospice. DATES & TIMES: Saturday, June 22nd, 2013at 7:00pm & 7:15pm Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 at 3:00pm & 3:15pm LOCATION: Brandon Municipal Cemetery TICKET PRICE: $15.00 Please call Kelly at (204)724-2682 to order tickets. • Tree of Memories
    Thursday, December 5, 2013

Every year we join together in remembering our loved ones who are no longer with us to celebrate the holidays. In this way, we share our appreciation for all that our loved ones brought into our lives. If you would like more information, please contact Brockie Donovan at (204)727-0694. For fifteen years, we have been honoured to help families in our area to celebrate the life of their lost loved ones. Each fall, we invite people to request an ornament in honour of their loved one, and we all gather together in December to places ornaments on the communal Holiday tree. Each attendee receives a candle, and through their lighting, we all come just a bit closer to one another in shared loss and reverence for life. The 2013 Tree of Memories will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2013 at 7:00pm. Please us at call to reserve your personalized ornament.
